Sure, the iPhone can not cope with the image quality of a good digital camera … but it’s great for snapshots and ShakeItPhoto- or Hipstamatic-experiments. That’s why I’m collecting a lot of pictures on my iPhone from time to time. Sometimes I sync the pictures with iPhoto. But I’m not always using the delete-after-import feature. The current version of iPhoto does not have any problems with that if you use the “Hide Photos Already Imported” option: iPhoto just ignores the old photos and only downloads the previews of the new ones in the import section.
But there is no way to delete all or a selection of these old photos in iPhoto, iTunes or on the iPhone. But the only solution to delete these photos one-by-one on the iPhone is not working with hundrets of photos. So, what to do?

Every Mac ships with a standard Apple utility which helps you out It’s called “Image Capture” (or on German Mac OS X systems “Digitale Bilder”). This utility shows all images on the iPhone. You can select all or only a selection of these pictures and you’re able to delete them right away! Here is how to:

1. Connect your iPhone via USB with your Mac.
2. If iTunes or iPhoto starts, wait for the sync, and press the iPhone-disconnect button within the itunes window. Make sure, that you quit iTunes and iPhoto.
3. Open “Image Capture” from the applications folder.
4. Select your iPhone in the left column and a list of the iPhone photos will be displayed on the right.
5. Select the photos, you want to delete – or select all pictures by pressing command-A.
6. Now press on the red delete button just beneath the list. If you’re sure, that you want to delete the pictures you can confirm the deletion. WARNING: You cannot recover the deleted photos – so be sure, that you imported them to iPhoto before!

Today, October 20th at 10 AM PST (07 PM CET), Apple invited the press to their “Back to the Mac” media event in Cupertino, California. iPhone, iPad and the iPod are quite important … but there sure are the MacBooks, MacBook Pros, the iMacs, the Mac Pros and the Mac OS X as a base for all the success. So it’ll be quite interesting to watch what Steve Jobs will present us today.
As Fortune reported, viewing the live stream requires Safari on Mac OS X 10.6 or an iPhone/iPod touch with iOS 3.0 or better … or an iPad.

Finally the video stream of Steve Jobs iPhone 4 & iOS 4 keynote at the WWDC 2010 is online now. So tune in to watch his performance.

Again, it’s keynote time: The sold out Worldwide Developer Conference 2010 – WWDC10 – is about to begin. At 10:00 PST Steve Jobs will be on stage. Developers, fans and all others who are interested in Apple’s business development will be hypnotized of Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Millions of people are sitting at their computers, iPhones, iPads or other mobile devices and want to know instantly what Steve is presenting today.
It’s really fascinating how Steve plays with the masses … so it does not surprise too much, that the big German news magazine Spiegel Online refers to the event as an “Californian worship”. That’s not how I would describe it … but it shows how hard it is to understand and describe that keynote phenomenon. Just thnik about the “viewing rates” or reach of a presentation of Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo (Nokia CEO), Jim Balsillie (Research In Motion co CEO) or even Eric Schmidt (Google CEO).
What will present us today … nobody really knows. But there is a lot of rumor out there: The iPhone HD or 4G? A sneak preview of the next Mac OS X version? New Mac hardware? … the first photos from the Moscone West Center suggest that it’s all about apps … maybe a Mac AppStore
Some weeks ago, a developer wrote a provocative email to Steve, whether he will counter Apples competitors like Google/Android. Steve’s short reply was “You won’t be disappointed!”.

Finally Apple officially published the video-on-demand of the Apple special event “Come and see our latest creation”. Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the iPad at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco on January 27th 2010.
