
The wireless industry is meeting again at the CTIA Wireless 2007 in Orlando, Florida. From March 27th CEOs, COOs and former US presidents beat a path to the doorstep as keynote speakers. On Tuesday, at the first day of the conference and fair, Randall L. Stephenson, COO AT&T, gave his keynote. He presented the high-tech-gadget iPhone, again. His statement “One million people have asked us to call when this phone is available” pricked up the analyst’s ears and shows how perfect Apple’s viral marketing succeeds.

It looks like Google is not settling with it’s current role as a small Google-Maps software supplier for mobile phones like the Apple iPhone. According to The Guardian, Google held talks with several companies like Telefonica/O2 to find a European partner for rolling out a "Phone", optimized for Google’s core competences: Search, find, locate, advertise. Samsung shall be the hardware and mobile OS software partner for Google. But until now, non of these aspects are officially acknowledged.
