Great! Now, also some German universities publish some free podcasts, videos and scripts via “iTunes U”. Until now, you can find content from the following universities from Germany:

Perfect! Especially high school graduates can get a first impression of the different universities. At the end there is no getting around visiting the favorite universities to make the decision, but the iTunes U content is another first impression.
But also for students, post graduates and alumni, there are quite interesting contents – and some real gems also

Mobile WiFi-HotSpots on ICE trains are extended – perfect for the iPhone

Deutsche Bahn and T-Mobile extend their traveling WiFi HotSpot service at the ICE train routes. Now, also the route Frankfurt am Main – Hanover – Hamburg is covered with WiFi internet access (“railnet”). Overall, we have WiFi internet connection within the train on most of the ICE routes in Germany:

Dortmund – Düsseldorf – Cologne (also via Hagen and Wuppertal)
Cologne – Frankfurt am Main Airport
Frankfurt am Main – Stuttgart – Munich
Frankfurt am Main – Hanover – Hamburg

The service offers laptop and especially iPhone users an internet connection even if the train travels at a maximum speed of 300 km/h – more than 180 miles per hour! Im always impressed about the quite stable and fast internet connection even when traveling that fast. And the best thing of all: as a (German T-Mobile) iPhone user you don’t even have to pay for the WiFi connection in the train!

[Update] First German retail Apple Flagship Store will be located in Munich

If you can trust the Apple job postings the first retail Apple Store won’t be located in the German capital Berlin – but in the beautiful city of Munich Wonderful: finally a Genious-Bar nearby!
There is just one open question – will the rumors prove right, that the flagship store will be situated directly in the center of Munich at the Marienplatz?

[Update] Today, Georg Albrecht, head of PR Apple Germany, confirmed, that the first German Apple Flagship Store will be located in Munich.
