### 2. Hosting & Server Log Files

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (IP address, date/time, requested file, browser/operating system, referrer). This is technically necessary for delivery, security, and stability of the website.

- Retention period: 14 days

We set technically necessary cookies without consent (Section 25 (2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG). To manage consents, we use the WordPress plugin "Complianz" (Really Simple Plugins B.V., Netherlands). It stores your selection in a technically necessary cookie on your device; no data is transmitted to the provider.

When you use the contact form, we process the data you enter (name, e-mail address, message) exclusively to handle your inquiry; the data is not shared with third parties.

### 5. WordPress Plugins in Use

**Really Simple Security** – security plugin (Really Simple Plugins B.V., Netherlands). The plugin ensures encrypted delivery of the website (SSL/TLS, security headers) and protects the login area against unauthorized access. With login protection enabled, failed login attempts are logged (IP address, username used, time); suspicious IP addresses or usernames may be blocked temporarily or permanently. All processing takes place exclusively on our server; no data is transmitted to the plugin provider or third parties. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (protection of the website, security of processing pursuant to Art. 32 GDPR). Log data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required.

**Antispam Bee** – comment spam protection (Pluginkollektiv, open source). Incoming comments (content, name, e-mail address, technical characteristics) are checked for spam exclusively on our own server; IP addresses are not stored in plain text, and no data is transmitted to third parties. Comments identified as spam are deleted automatically after the configured period. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (protection against spam).

**Yoast SEO** – search engine optimization (Yoast BV, Wijchen, Netherlands). The plugin generates meta tags, sitemaps, and structured data on the server side. It does not process any personal data of visitors, does not set cookies, and does not transmit any data to third parties.

**Local hosting of Google Fonts** – We use typefaces from the "Google Fonts" library, which are stored locally on our own server and loaded exclusively from there (plugin "Local Google Fonts"). No connection to Google servers is established when you visit our website; no IP addresses or other visitor data are transmitted to Google.

**Monarch (social media buttons)** – plugin by Elegant Themes, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) providing share/follow buttons for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram. The buttons are implemented as plain links: when you visit our website, no data is transmitted to the networks or the plugin provider, and no scripts from the networks are loaded. Only when you actively click a button are you redirected to the respective network; from that point on, its provider processes your data (e.g. IP address) under its own responsibility and privacy policy; if you are logged in there, the provider may link the action to your account. Internal click statistics are stored locally without any personal reference. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (reach of our content).

**Koko Analytics** – audience measurement (open source, ibericode, Netherlands). Only aggregated data is collected (page views, visitor counts, referrers), stored exclusively in our website's own database. IP addresses are neither stored nor used for recognition; no profiling takes place and no data is transmitted to third parties. The plugin sets a technically required first-party cookie to distinguish visitors, containing no personal data. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (statistical analysis to improve our website).

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), as well as the right to withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future. Requests: info@codedifferent.com.
